ICS Paediatric First Aid in Scotland

ICS Paediatric First Aid in Scotland

This Paediatric First Aid course is designed by St Andrew's First Aid to enable you to deliver life-saving First Aid for babies and children. Whether at home or at work, this St Andrew's First Aid course will give you the confidence to act effectively in an emergency and perhaps even save a life.

Our Paediatric First Aid course equips you with vital, life-saving skills and will give you the confidence to act quickly and calmly - especially important in First Aid for children.

The course is devised for clients in Scotland and is designed by St Andrew's First Aid.

The Paediatric First Aid course will teach you about basic anatomy and the most common problems that can affect breathing and bleeding. You'll learn the best ways to treat minor injuries such as cuts, bruises, burns, stings and bites, and find out how to apply dressings.

Your paediatric First Aid training will also cover joint and bone problems, including sprains and fractures. And you'll learn to deliver CPR for children.

You will learn how to deal with major situations, learning to confidently approach emergencies and cope with situations involving bleeding, shock and other serious medical problems. As part of the Paediatric First Aid course there will be special attention to First Aid for children, particularly where treatment of adults and children might vary.

Once you have mastered the theory you will have the opportunity to test your skills in a one-day practical training session with St Andrew's First Aid.
