Our Infection Prevention and Control course provides essential knowledge if you care for others, whether in a work environment or at home. You will need to know about infection risks and how to prevent the spread of infection. If you already care for others - adults or children - or would like to care for others, the Infection Prevention and Control course could be your ideal starting point.

Our Infection Prevention and Control course will teach you how to identify infection risks and take appropriate precautions to stop the spread of infection.

The online infection control training you will receive will explain the chain of infection and the various infection agents you should be aware of. You'll learn about personal hygiene and about the importance of immunisations and vaccinations.

Infection control guidelines and legislation will be explored and you will learn recommended procedures to help prevent and control infection.

If you care for others, or would like to do so in the future, this short online course will give you the basic knowledge of infection prevention and control that you will need to begin with.

As you work through your study unit you will have activities to complete. On completion of the study unit you will have a final, tutor-marked assessment to complete. Once you have successfully completed your tutor-marked assessment you will receive your ICS Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control.
