The Fibreglass Nails course will take you through the more complex methods involved in this nail enhancement technique. Fibreglass nails are built up with small pieces of fibreglass and coated in resin, requiring a high degree of expertise.

You will be guided through the process of applying fibreglass nails step by step, and learn to expertly apply layers of resin to create a smooth finish.

You will also learn to buff and polish the fibreglass nails to create a stunning and long-lasting finish.

You will be supplied with a study DVD and a professional Nail Trainer, a lifelike hand with fully movable fingers and removable nails. Using these you will be introduced to the tools and products you need and given the opportunity to practice the knowledge you have gained.

You will also take a look at the nail industry in general and gain an insight into current and upcoming trends.

At the end you will be able to extend your range of nail services to include fibreglass nail extensions, giving you a competitive edge that could bring new employment or more clients.

Entry Requirements

It is essential that you complete either the gel or acrylic nails course before you enrol in our Fibreglass Nails course because of the more complicated techniques involved. You will also need access to a DVD player.

Assessment

Assessments are a great way of checking your progress. At the beginning of your Fibreglass Nails course you will be issued with unique progress cards. As you progress through the course, you will create sample nails, attach these to a progress card, and then send the progress card away for assessment. You will also be required to complete a number of question papers - up to a maximum of eight - which will also be sent away for assessment.

Each nail you submit will be carefully examined, and you will receive a report on your work and a grade of distinction, credit, pass or fail. Should you not pass the first time, you will receive suggestions on how you might improve your work - and you will be able to submit work for reassessment without charge.

On successful completion you'll gain an industry recognised Essential Nails Certificate.
