Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

A Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) can install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security.

The CCENT qualification is the first step in general Cisco Systems career certifications and demonstrates that you have the skills required for entry-level network support positions - a common starting point for a networking career.

It is also a first step on the road to achieving the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification, which covers medium-sized enterprise branch networks with more complex connections.

The CCENT course will provide you with an understanding of the fundamentals of networking, wireless concepts and WAN technologies, along with a basic knowledge of routing and switching and the ability to configure simple networks, as well as a basic level of security.

The certification is valid for three years, and professionals may retake the exam to re-certify.
