CIPD Intermediate Award: Using Information in Human Resources

CIPD Intermediate Award: Using Information in Human Resources

The new Intermediate Level Awards in Human Resources from CIPD are set at undergraduate level and will develop your ability to evaluate the effectiveness of different HR models and practices and increase your understanding of the external factors that impact upon HR activities and organisations. Whilst building expertise on your chosen subject, you will also develop your planning, analytical and problem solving skills. The CIPD Intermediate Level Awards offer the perfect platform to further develop your HR, L&D or other specialist knowledge after studying a CIPD Foundation level qualification. Alternatively if you're working in HR, but have no professionally-recognised HR qualifications, you can choose to study CIPD Intermediate level qualifications.

Human resources (HR) professionals need to be able to present a viable and realistic case for improvement based on sound work-based research and an understanding of what is considered good practice. This core unit develops the skills of research and enquiry in order to enable learners to identify appropriate data sources to support an investigation into an area of HR practice and to synthesise and apply this data, to evaluate the role of HR in business and strategy formulation and implementation, and to prepare and present a business case for improvement.

This is a Level 5 programme and is equivalent in level to the second year of an undergraduate degree programme.
