CIPD Foundation Award: Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations

CIPD Foundation Award: Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations

With human resources becoming recognised as one of the most highly valued elements of business success, a career in the field has the potential to take you places. And there's no better way to get there than with a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Foundation Level qualifications are perfect if you want to acquire a wide range of relevant practical skills in HR. With ICS you have the opportunity to study individual awards to either start or top up your HR knowledge.

Managing the employment relationship effectively is a key part of the role of the HR practitioner. This unit aims to introduce a number of aspects of this task and to provide an introduction to employment law within the context of employee relations. It starts with an explanation of the employment relationship and the key parties that are involved within it. It then focuses on different aspects of HR activity, looking at good practice and legal requirements within each activity.

This is a Level 3 programme and is broadly equivalent in terms of level, to an A-Level programme of study.
