CIPD Advanced Award: Learning and Talent Development

The new Advanced Level Awards in Human Resources from CIPD enable you to broaden and deepen your knowledge and skills on a particular subject while providing an ideal opportunity for supporting continuing professional development (CPD). 

This module will develop a critical understanding of the potential and limitations of the contribution of learning and talent development policies and strategies to formulating and achieving objectives at national, organisational, group and individual levels and will enable the development of intellectual, social, professional and personal skills to perform effectively in associated professional roles.  The module requires learners to reflect critically on theory and practice from an ethical and professional standpoint, explores the implications for professional practice, and provides opportunities for applied learning and continuous professional development. 


Entry Requirements

This is a Level 7 programme and requires a good level of HR experience. 

The Advanced Level Award in Human Resources are for those who:

  • Have the responsibility for HR decision-making within an organisation at either operational, tactical or a more strategic level
  • Are HR professionals in a team or HR functional management role, and are seeing to enhance and develop their career
  • Have responsibilities for the HR function and activities within an organisation without a specialist function
  • Are independent or employed consultants who support organisations in meeting their goals.

Where will I go from here?

As all the modules form part of the Advanced level diploma, you can also use your award to work towards meeting the knowledge requirements for CIPD professional membership (Associate, Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow) by taking additional modules to achieve a full Advanced level diploma. 

What will I gain?

On completion, you'll receive a CIPD Advanced Award in Human Resources.

Assessment

In this module, the final assessment is a 3000 word written assignment. However, it should be noted that there are also ICS assessments for you to complete that have been devised to prepare you fully for your final CIPD assessments.
