CACHE Introduction to Working in Childcare

CACHE Introduction to Working in Childcare

Working with children can be hugely rewarding, but a difficult career to progress in without the proper childcare qualifications. Our Introduction to Working in Childcare course will prepare you for jobs in childcare work by giving you a general introduction to the principles and values of the childcare sector. Introduction to Working in Childcare is an ideal first step if you want to work with children.

The Introduction to Working in Childcare course is part of the CACHE Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce. CACHE - the Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education - is the recognised professional body in the field of childcare and learning.

The childcare course will provide you with 8 credits of the 35 required for the full CACHE Level 2 childcare qualification. It consists of five units, four of which are from the syllabus of the CACHE Level 2 Certificate; the first is a general introduction to the principles and values of work in childcare.

Introduction to Working in Childcare is an ideal first step for anyone considering careers in childcare, as it introduces the main principles in a simple, clear way, providing examples of good practice throughout. If you already work with children, this online childcare course will ensure you understand the core principles underpinning everything you do.

It is also an ideal first step towards a recognised childcare qualification without necessarily committing yourself to the whole award - although, should you wish to go on to complete the CACHE Level 2 Certificate, you will have 8 credit points towards it.

The Introduction to Working in Childcare course also puts you in an excellent position when applying for jobs in childcare, as you will have a good grounding in the field which you can put into practice, and you will already have made a start on your CACHE Level 2.
