The nationally-recognised BTEC Hospitality Management course
will enable you to run a hospitality business efficiently and
professionally.
Focussed on the needs of employers in the hospitality industry,
it offers a comprehensive insight into the workings of a successful
hospitality business and shows you how you can make yourself highly
sought after in the management recruitment contest.
You will learn the skills that make for successful hospitality
management in accommodation, food and beverage areas, such as staff
recruitment and development, operational planning and organisation,
and financial management and marketing.
Your hospitality management training will also take you into the
background of the hospitality industry, and you will examine its
role in both the national and European economies. You will study
legal and statutory requirements.
When you graduate from the BTEC Hospitality Management course
you will have a recognised qualification, demonstrating to future
employers that you have a thorough knowledge of both the theory and
practice of effective hospitality management. You will be ready for
a range of hospitality jobs and on the first step of a career in
the hospitality industry.
To enrol in our BTEC Hospitality Management course, you must be
aged over 16 and have at least GCSE standard D-G or hold an NVQ at
level 1, or a GNVQ Foundation Certificate in a relevant area.
Although not mandatory, some experience in the hospitality
sector would be beneficial.
With high customer service standards becoming more and more
important in hospitality operations, qualified managers are in
demand throughout the industry. You could find yourself taking up a
role in a large organisation, such as a major hotel, or running a
small bar or boutique hotel.
On completion of the BTEC Hospitality Management course, you'll
receive the BTEC Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Hospitality
Management.
