BTEC Level 2 Certificate Health & Social Care Practice

BTEC Level 2 Certificate Health & Social Care Practice

Our BTEC Health and Social Care course is designed to introduce you to working in the health and social care services sector and prepare you for further study. The Health and Social Care sector covers a vast range of employment opportunities, including statutory, private and voluntary provision of care services. Skilled health and social care professionals are always needed to ensure people who are vulnerable through health or social issues are given the help and advice they need. If you want to make a real difference, the health and social care sector could hold the right career for you.

The nationally-recognised BTEC Health and Social Care course offers the ideal introduction to a whole range of health and social care careers - or a formal recognition of your experience if you are already working in the field. In either case, the in-depth knowledge of health and social care problems and services on offer will be invaluable if you are looking to improve your prospects.

The Health and Social Care course will take you through the legislative and regulatory responsibilities of the health and social care professions and give you an understanding of the rights of the individual and the needs of patients or care users.

You will gain a thorough insight into the challenges faced by professionals working with vulnerable people in the community to provide and improve care. And you'll see how the needs of individuals change at different stages of their lives.

As you study health and social care you will also explore the ways in which health and social care can work in tandem and with other partners to provide a more comprehensive service.
