Research and Evidence-based Practice
The core module of this course aims to help you find and
appraise evidence that you can implement in day-to-day practice.
With this in mind, you'll learn how to conduct a literature search
and be able to retrieve evidence. You'll also discover how to
evaluate different types of evidence and research, and apply this
evidence in daily practice. Ultimately, what you learn will help
you enhance care for your patients or clients.

Optional Modules
Infection Control
Today more than ever, infection control is an essential part of
nursing practice. Through this module, you'll discover how to
evaluate, analyse and apply infection control practices to a range
of clinical situations. You'll learn how to apply knowledge of
microbiology to prevent infection, as well as applying basic
concepts of immunology. You'll also analyse a selection of current
infection control interventions.

Clinical Supervision
What you learn in this module will prepare you to be an
effective clinical supervisor. Once you have completed the module,
you'll be able to choose an appropriate supervision model for your
clinical practice - and give your reasons. By examining the
political, professional and economic context of clinical
supervision, and critically evaluating the range of models
available, you'll gain a deep understanding of the supervisory
process.
