Developing Criminological Skills
Through this module, you'll develop the core skills needed to
study criminology. It will help you understand important academic

sources such as criminal statistics, the internet and online
databases. After studying this module, you'll be able to research,
analyse and express your arguments in the field of criminology, as
well as in wider academic disciplines and generic contexts.

This module is a cornerstone for other areas you'll cover on the
Psychology Studies and Criminology degree. You'll gain essential

the 'system' and its limitations. You'll examine key topics such as
the powers of the police, and look at aspects of the legal process
- judicial sentencing and the appeal and review process, for
example.
