Course Overview 

applyonlinenow(CIPD).gifThis is one of the CIPD Elective courses, covering topics such as management in context and employee relations skills. You can choose to study this course plus three other Electives to be awarded Licentiateship of the Institute or, alternatively, you can study individual Electives as part of your Continuous Professional Development.

If you're aiming for Graduateship of the CIPD Professional Development Scheme, Electives should be completed in addition to People Management and Development, Applied Personnel and Development and Leadership and Management.


Pre-requisites 

This graduate qualification should be studied in the order of Leadership and Management, People Management and Development/Applied Personnel and Development and the Electives.

To commence this post-graduate level course, you must have either:

  • a degree in any discipline
  • 2 A levels or an HNC/HND in any discipline plus one year's experience in HR/personnel
  • 5 years' HR experience

You may be entitled to exemptions; evidence of prior qualifications will be required.

You will be required to take part in a telephone interview prior to release of study material. This is requested by CIPD.

Assessment 

Each course includes a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor for grading and comments. You'll also be required to sit exams at an authorised testing centre near you.

This qualification also requires you to successfully complete the following:

  • One 2 day residential workshop per Elective (central UK location)
  • 1 assignment per Elective
  • 2 hour examination per Elective (local venue)

Please note CIPD membership, exam and workshop fees are additional to course fees.
